It’s hard to believe it’s the end of January and temperatures are so pleasant. This weekend was just absolutely beautiful in the French Quarter. Everyone was in short sleeves and enjoying the sunshine. If only this holds out for Mardi Gras it will be a great time for all.
A street car passed by and we were greeted by the smiles of folks enjoying the views of New Orleans or perhaps just on their way to an everyday trip to market.Over on the Mississippi River the Carnival Elation and the Royal Caribbean Voyager of the Seas breaks from port to make way into the Gulf for a more tropical destination.
After the sun goes down the crowds build on Bourbon Street under the glow of the neon signs. Even though the temperature may have cooled a bit there’s enough excitement here to keep everyone warm for the night.
